I wanted to share another little project I was able to work on with a sweet friend. Sarah hosted a couples shower this past weekend, and I can’t think of a better theme!
Congratulations to Emily & David!

Remember that bachelorette party I wrote about a couple of months ago? Well that lovely bride-to-be is getting married this weekend! I couldn’t be happier for Tiffany and Randall. They are perfect for each other. I am so excited to celebrate with them this weekend!
Earlier this year, Tiffany asked me to address her Save the Dates. Here’s a little peek at her pink and black ensemble…
Congrats to Tiffany & Randall!

When it comes to wedding showers, couples showers are my favorite. So earlier this fall, when Bobby and I were invited to help two good friends “stock the bar”, how could I say no?
I was even more excited when the host, my lovely friend Jenny, asked me to design invitations for the party. Knowing the bride’s favorite color is turquoise, I found inspiration in the slanted stripes on a roll of teal washi tape. The final invite design was modern yet playful; a perfect match to the party’s setting at a chic lounge in downtown Dallas.
Meagan and Marcus were married this past weekend. It was a fantastic celebration filled with many laughs and even better dance moves. Much love and congrats to the happy couple!

Today I’m sharing a project that’s very special to me. Last fall, a dear friend asked me to help with some of the lettering and paper goods for her wedding. That friend, Kathryn, chose to kick-off the festivities with these lovely envelopes for her Save the Dates. With a clean design and purple accents, they served as the perfect introduction to the couple’s fresh yet classic wedding style.
To this day, I’m so grateful that Kathryn and her sweet mother had enough faith to entrust me with so many pieces for their beautiful wedding. They encouraged me to pursue my passion for lettering and design, and I am so excited about where I’m headed today!
The support I receive from family and friends means the world to me. Thank you all for your encouragement and for following along with my adventures through this blog!
XO, Mariel
P.S. Kathryn and Robert’s wedding was gorgeous. This is just the beginning… be on the lookout for more pictures soon!
I love when my friends come up with a creative idea and ask me to be a part of it. That’s why I was thrilled when Anna approached me about making a special wedding gift for her cousin.
Anna was inspired by the couple’s wedding song, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and wanted to incorporate the lyrics in her gift. We discussed a few ideas and I began sketching out the song’s chorus in calligraphy. After some tweaking on the computer, the words were printed on canvas and stretched over a wooden frame.
I love the end result. It’s such a wonderful blessing to have found that special person, and I hope this little piece of art helps the happy couple think back on sweet memories from their wedding day. XO – Mariel
Looking for a way to customize your next event? Using rubber stamps to personalize a party is both brilliant and affordable. Stamps are very versatile; you can choose from a variety of styles and colors to create the perfect combination for your party’s theme.
Below are a few pictures of how I incorporated an ‘S’ motif throughout my own wedding using a custom stamp. I am so thankful that my coordinator, Kelly from Eventology Weddings, gave me this genius idea!
The stamp was so easy to use. Before I knew it I had covered everything from thank you notes, cocktail napkins and kraft paper cones for our rose petal send-off. Even though the touches were small, I loved that our guests were able to hold something that was handmade by me.

The custom ‘S’ motif was designed by the incredibly talented Lindsay Letters. The actual rubber stamp was made by babyjewels on etsy.
My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary today. It’s still sounds crazy to say… I can’t believe a year has already gone by! We’ve spent the past couple of days traveling down memory lane and looking back on our favorite moments from the big day. We are so lucky to have found each other, but even more blessed to have our lovely friends and family by our sides. We love you!
Bobby chose the song for our first dance, The Luckiest by Ben Folds. I can’t get enough of it and have had it on repeat all day. I truly am the luckiest! Cheers to many more beautiful anniversaries to come.
XO, Mariel
